Budget Training That Actually Makes Sense
Look, most people think budgeting software is complicated. And honestly? A lot of it is. But managing your money doesn't have to feel like solving a puzzle. Our training focuses on real scenarios you'll face in your business or household, not theoretical nonsense.
How Our Program Works
Foundation Phase
We start with the basics—and I mean actual basics. You'll learn how to set up your first budget workspace, understand where your money goes, and get comfortable with the interface. No pressure, no judgment about past financial habits.
Building Systems
This is where things click. You'll create automated tracking systems, learn to categorize expenses in ways that make sense for your life, and build forecasting tools. It's practical work—we use real expense data and actual scenarios.
Advanced Techniques
Now we get into the good stuff. Multi-account management, reconciliation workflows, variance analysis. You'll learn how to spot trends before they become problems and make adjustments that stick.
Real-World Application
The final stretch focuses on your specific situation. Small business owner? We'll tackle invoicing integration. Managing household finances? You'll build custom reports that show what matters to you. It's personalized because every budget is different.
What You'll Learn vs. What You Won't
We're upfront about what this program covers. Some courses promise everything—we focus on what actually helps you manage money better.
People Who've Taken This Path
Thorsten Viklund
Retail Manager, Lismore
Thorsten runs a small homeware shop and was drowning in receipts. He'd been using spreadsheets but couldn't track inventory costs properly. After going through the program in late 2024, he built a system that links sales to stock purchases automatically.
Now he knows his true profit margins on every product line and makes smarter ordering decisions.
Callum Devereux
Freelance Tradesman, Byron Bay
Callum does carpentry work across the Northern Rivers region. His biggest problem was irregular income—some months were great, others were quiet. He needed to forecast better but had no system in place.
The training helped him build a rolling forecast that accounts for seasonal patterns. He now keeps a cash buffer based on actual data instead of guesswork.
Learning That Fits Your Schedule
Sessions run twice weekly—Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings starting in September 2025. Can't make a session? Everything's recorded and available within 24 hours. Plus, you get three months of access to review materials whenever you need them.
We keep groups small—maximum 12 people per cohort. This isn't a massive online course where you're just a number. You'll get direct feedback on your budget setup and have time to ask questions about your specific situation.
Location matters too. Our Lismore centre has dedicated training rooms with proper displays and workspace. Everything's set up so you can follow along on screen and take notes. And yes, there's decent coffee available.
If you're not local, remote participation works fine—the interface shares perfectly over video and you'll have the same access to instructors during sessions.
